- Organizing and setting up workspace before, during, and after each shift including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, and preparatory work.
- Working with the F&B leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of coffee sales.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of the coffee beverages being offered.
- Train and encourage the growth of fellow team members.
- Greeting and welcoming guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Knowledgeable present menus and recommendations to guests.
- Using the company’s sequence with guests to make sure they are having a quality beverage experience.
- Clearing, cleaning, sanitizing and resetting the venue as needed.
- Efficiently operating a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making change, and running credit cards.
- Effectively and proactively communicate any safety, guest, or employee concerns with the Supervisors and Management.
- Contributing to the overall success of the venue, and welcoming guests as needed.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
- Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- Must have or have the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card.
- Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
