Bring your personality, speed, and flair to the bar! As a Bartender, you’ll be the life of the party—delivering exceptional service and unforgettable moments with every pour. You’ll create positive guest interactions while serving up delicious drinks and dishes in a friendly, efficient manner. Whether behind the bar or throughout the restaurant, you’ll ensure every guest enjoys a top-tier experience, all while following state and local laws and upholding our company’s high standards.

- Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes.
- Organizing and setting up the workspace before, during and after each shift. Including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing and prep work.
- Knowledgably present menus and recommendations to guests.
- Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Operate a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making change and running credit cards.
- Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card.
- Must have a valid alcohol safety and TAPS card for the State of Alaska.
- Minimum age of 18 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
