Overview

Target is hiring a part-time Food & Beverage Expert. The role involves delivering a guest-focused shopping experience, maintaining food and beverage standards, and supporting store operations across Food & Beverage areas. The starting hourly rate is $19.50 USD per hour.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience and maintain a fresh, full shopping experience during all hours of operation, prioritizing the guest’s needs over tasks.
• Uphold and execute Food & Beverage standards, including processes like deliveries, replenishment, merchandising, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and storing reserve product.
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Collaborate with vendors to set and adjust salesfloor displays and maintain organized backroom space.
• Identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to Target’s policies and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws as they apply to the business.
• Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while ensuring compliance with laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery only).
• Previous food or grocery experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to communicate using multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, resolve guest questions quickly, and follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within time frames.

• Ability to handle cash operations as needed; climb ladders; lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in environments with temperatures ranging from 34°F to
  -10°F and exposure to allergens and varying conditions.
• Must be mobile for the duration of a shift.
