About the job
As a full-time payroll administrator, you will be responsible for managing and processing employee payroll accurately and on time. You will maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while collaborating with HR and accounting teams to support smooth payroll operations. This role is also responsible for assisting in other accounting areas as needed.
What you’ll do
- Process biweekly/semimonthly/monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now and RUN.
- Ensure accuracy of employee data, timesheets, and compensation adjustments.
- Prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month-end close. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams on employee changes, benefits, and tax deductions.
- Support year-end reporting, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required filings.
- Assist in audits by providing payroll documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Assist in other accounting areas as needed, such as accounts receivable and payable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll/accounting experience.
- Proficiency with ADP payroll systems (Workforce Now, Run, or other ADP platforms).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and payroll accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
