The Dougherty County Public Works department is hiring for a Senior Engineering Aide
. The purpose of this position is to assist the Project Engineer in conducting land and property surveys, including construction project layouts and inspections of ongoing construction projects.
This role works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Responsibilities include:- High School Diploma or GED and specialized training in surveying or a related field.
- Two (2) years of engineering or construction-related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Physical demands involve walking or standing most of the time, exerting 20-50 pounds of force, and using fine motor skills with high precision.
Work environment may include exposure to bright/dim light, dust, pollen, extreme temperatures, humidity, vibration, fumes, odors, traffic, and moving machinery.
Certifications and Licenses:Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
