Job SummaryThe department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics seeks a dynamic and innovative Part-time instructor of Computer Science to join our adjunct team. This role involves effective teaching, student mentorship and service to the department and the university.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and have a commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower the students to succeed. This role also includes responding to academic early alerts, suggesting opportunities for study abroad, internships, and research opportunities.

Responsibilities- Teach both introductory and advanced level courses, in a face-to-face or online format.
- Utilize diverse teaching techniques to foster active learning.
- Lead and moderate classroom discussions.
- Administer and grade examinations and other coursework.
- Additional responsibilities will include advising and mentoring students.
- Master's degree or eighteen (18) graduate credit hours in computer science.
- A strong record of teaching. At least two (2) years of applicable teaching experience at the collegiate level.
Master's degree in computer science.
Proposed SalaryCompensation is based on a per credit hour rate.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of effective teaching practices, including online and technological instruction.

- Skilled in providing quality feedback on assessments to aid in student learning.
Abilities
- Ability to mentor and advise students on academic and professional pathways.
- Ability to adapt to the changes in the field and incorporate them into the learning experience.
- Ability to connect, collaborate and work effectively with other faculty, staff, and industry partners.
