LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThe Assistant Professor of English must demonstrate excellence in teaching and have a commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process. The candidate must also have the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed. The position includes teaching assigned courses in face-to-face and/or online environments, leading and moderating classroom discussions, and assessing learning. Additional duties may include curriculum development and participating in professional development activities.

Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses as assigned.
- Conduct scholarly activities appropriate to discipline and academic rank.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of course content and curricula.
- Serve as a mentor to students, providing guidance on course selection and planning, career planning, and other additional matters as deemed necessary.
- Participate in departmental committees, meetings, and other university initiatives.
- Engage with community outreach through collaborations, workshops, and service-based leadership.
Masters in English or at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching college-level English courses. Record of, or potential for, scholarly productivity.
Preferred QualificationsPhD in English.
