Job SummaryAn Assistant Professor of Forensic Sciences is sought to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science disciplines—including crime scene investigation, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, and toxicology—while actively conducting research in their area of expertise, publishing findings in peer‑reviewed journals, and mentoring student researchers. The position contributes to the development and maintenance of a robust forensic science program within the university.

- Teaching: deliver undergraduate and graduate level courses, develop and implement new curriculum, design and oversee laboratory exercises, and assess student learning.
- Research: conduct independent research, secure external funding through grant proposals, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals, and involve students in research projects.
- Service: participate in departmental, college, and university committees; advise students; collaborate with local law enforcement and forensic laboratories; and engage in outreach activities to promote public understanding of forensic science.
- Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Forensic Science (or a closely related field) with a strong foundation in relevant scientific disciplines.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Active research program with a record of peer‑reviewed publications.
- Expertise in specific forensic science techniques such as DNA analysis, trace evidence analysis, toxicology, or digital forensics.
- Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a closely related field.
