Overview

As a seasonal Tax Associate, you will inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and finances. Your role involves building and nurturing client relationships, ensuring their tax needs are met with precision, and contributing to the growth and retention of our client base.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Generate business growth by increasing client retention and offering additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and advisory services.
• Mentor and support teammates.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
• Experience completing complex returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience (a plus).
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Continuing education requirements met and all IRS and applicable state requirements satisfied.

• Excellent communication skills in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Comfortable working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
