Documentation skills meeting legal and professional standards; maintains records appropriately; knowledge of HIPAA. Ability to access, plan for, and provide basic nursing skills; knows procedures including develop, implementing, and revising plan of care. Knowledge of nursing policies, procedures, protocols, treatments, standards of care and nurse practice act. Knowledge of the procedures for medication administration and can administer oral, sublingual and IV medications;
knowledge of pharmacology. Knowledge of immunization regulations and protocols. Ability to perform CPR and for some sites, AED. Skill in holistic assessment and care; can apply therapeutic and diagnostic skills and provide holistic client care; knowledge of healthcare concerns and clients with special needs, including high risk and various age groups. Ability to determine if patient has received appropriate care and assess whether staff is competent in specific areas.
Ability to document problems and/ or needs identified from the treatment plan; competent in completing treatment plans. Skills in team leadership. Knowledge of examinations, ability to prepare clients for examinations and treatments; knows how to use medical equipment. Knowledge of federal and state guidelines governing programs. Ability to plan unit needs. Knowledge if instruments required and how they are to be sterilized;
knows how to maintain sterile field. Knowledge and skills about diet and nutrition, related resources and guidelines and physical activity of clients; can conduct health education sessions and various topics for individuals and groups. A Current Georgia License to practice as a registered professional nurse is required.

G. ASSIGNED DUTIESAssess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients. May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
Duties Include:
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to access, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
- Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records.
- Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
- Observes nurses and visits clients to ensure that proper nursing care is provided.
- Prepare clients for and assist with exams and treatments.
- Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock on supplies is maintained.
- Provides health care, first aid, immunizations, and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.
- Administers prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids, and notes times and amounts on clients' charts.
- Provides education to client and family.
