job summary

provide independent technical support to computer users in assigned office area, manage active directory, electronic medical records (carelogic), and other agency‑wide applications. Maintain system security, perform troubleshooting, and provide training and documentation.

responsibilities
  • resolve all desktop management issues.
  • manage active directory, emr (carelogic), and agency‑wide application users.
  • perform information control reviews: system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery, system maintenance.
  • maintain and develop computerized audit software.
  • prepare and present written and oral reports and other technical information.
  • troubleshoot various computer issues.
  • offer technical support on‑site, phone, or email.
  • analyze work orders, plan daily travel schedules, investigate complaints, and conduct tests.
  • study system requirements, order components, perform installations, and conduct acceptance tests.
  • keep personal equipment operating; perform preventive maintenance and call for repairs.
  • document service and installation actions with forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • provide training to staff on resources necessary for daily tasks.
  • perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
day‑to‑day breakdown
  • hardware deployment, installation & infrastructure (25%) – prepare, image, and install workstations; install monitors, cameras, aps.
  • network support – install and support lans, wans, network segmentations, internet, and intranet systems.
  • peripheral management – ensure licensing/registration and coordinate backups.
  • new employee orientation & account management (25%) – conduct training, create user accounts (active directory), set up emr accounts, maintain user profiles, create training manuals.
  • on‑going operational support & help desk (20%) – manage help desk queue, solve tickets, respond promptly, report recurring issues.
  • network development & security (15%) – recommend standards and solutions, perform information control reviews.
  • business operations & department management (15%) – submit recommendations, monitor budgets, assist long‑range planning.
qualifications
  • training and experience enabling independent technical support.
  • technical: electronics troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, reporting, pc and lan knowledge.
  • administration: server administration, hardware/software management, cctv, vpn, network tuning.
  • general: lan knowledge, problem solving, strategic planning, multitasking, quality focus.
  • soft skills: oral communication, decision making, customer service, interpersonal skills.
  • flexibility: install and support pc and lan hardware/software, strong desire to learn and be flexible.
equipment required
  • vehicle – company fleet or personal vehicle as needed.
operational requirements
  • availability (on‑call): mandatory on‑call rotation to support 24/7 facilities. Paid for active on‑call time.
  • travel: frequent travel to clinic/residential locations. Company vehicle fleet available; personal vehicle may be required. Mileage reimbursed.
  • compliance: strict adherence to hipaa and federal patient privacy laws.
  • physical ability: lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
