What You’ll Do

You will operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and drive program integration, performance management, and enterprise coordination across the USMC’s sustainment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Advisory + Strategic Alignment
  • Advise USMC senior leadership (CO/XO/Senior Enlisted + staff sections) on Class II/VII/IX sustainment strategy and enterprise priorities
  • Produce executive-ready products (decision papers, info papers, read-aheads, summaries) to support time-sensitive decisions
  • Draft/refine policies, SOPs, and governance processes aligned to USMC logistics policy and Force Design initiatives
  • Facilitate governance forums/working groups/OPTs; document decisions, actions, and measurable outcomes
  • Serve as the central program integrator across Class II/VII/IX lines of effort and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with MARCORLOGCOM and enterprise partners to ensure alignment with doctrine, policy, and strategic guidance
  • Drive cross-functional synchronization across branches, commands, and external partners
  • Develop supply chain strategies to optimize readiness, reduce delays, and improve asset visibility
  • Define and mature KPIs to monitor readiness, stock posture, lead times, and process efficiency
  • Lead readiness reporting and corrective action planning; communicate risks clearly to leadership
  • Support CPI initiatives and data-driven improvements in coordination with USMC leadership and the Command Data Office (CDO)
  • Develop and maintain authoritative documentation: CONOPS, SOPs, job aids, process maps, CPI matrices, governance charters
  • Translate complex logistics concepts into concise, actionable guidance for senior military and civilian audiences
  • Capture stakeholder requirements and ensure solutions are operationally relevant
  • Support change communications, briefings, and training materials for new processes/policies
  • Mentor government and contractor personnel on strategic logistics management and enterprise coordination
Required Qualifications
  • Eligibility for a Secret security clearance (must be able to obtain and maintain)
  • Bachelors Degree and 10 years of relevant experience (Masters degree is preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading logistics programs/portfolios in a DoD and/or USMC environment
  • Proven ability to integrate complex, multi-stakeholder logistics efforts (ideally Class II/VII/IX or analogous supply classes)
  • Documented experience improving readiness, reducing delays, and enhancing asset visibility through supply chain strategy
  • Experience establishing/overseeing performance metrics, readiness reporting, and corrective action planning
Preferred Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible logistics/supply chain/program management experience supporting DoD/USMC
  • Prior experience supporting MARCORLOGCOM, or Marine Corps logistics organizations
  • PMP/DAWIA, Lean Six Sigma, CPI-related certifications/training
  • Strong background producing executive-level documentation
  • The desire to learn more about Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
What Success Looks Like
  • Senior leaders receive clear, decision-ready recommendations tied to measurable readiness outcomes
  • Enterprise governance is documented, repeatable, and produces accountable actions
  • KPIs and reporting create visibility into readiness, bottlenecks, and corrective actions
  • Policies and processes are standardized, auditable, and aligned to USMC enterprise direction
