The Dougherty County District Attorney’s Office is hiring on a continuous basis for an Assistant District Attorney. The purpose of this position is to prosecute felony crimes committed in Dougherty County.
This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate.
- Six (6) years of courtroom trial experience, preferably with felony violations or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Physical and Work Environment: Sedentary work involving walking, standing, and exerting up to 10 pounds of force. No unavoidable hazards.
Licenses and
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Georgia.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
Application Requirements: Provide copies of Juris Doctorate degree and Georgia State Bar certification or appropriate certification from law school regarding eligibility to practice under the Third Year Practice Act. Resumes recommended but not accepted in lieu of application.
