Overview

In the role of Safety Manager working in Albany, GA you will lead the Safety Department and be a member of the brewery leadership team. You will deploy, implement, and lead the Health and Safety agenda for the manufacturing facility by collaborating with the Management team, integrating prevention, workers compensation and regulatory compliance into everyday work life. You will engage leaders and employees of the brewery to improve plant performance by reducing the risk of safety incidents and providing tools and systems that deliver health and safety performance.

You are expected to provide collaborative, proactive, and creative problem‑solving to develop best‑in‑class Health and Safety programs for the overall strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 4 talented colleagues and support their growth through career discussions and consistent one‑on‑one conversations.
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local government safety codes and regulations.
  • Partner with corporate health and safety to implement identified critical initiatives.
  • Conduct hazard and safety statistics analysis and recommend corrective measures and plan modifications.
  • Monitor changes in federal, state and local safety and health codes, and communicate them to brewery management.
  • Lead team performance, talent, and career management and create a culture of employee engagement.
Qualifications
  • Authentic leader who values and respects differences and believes diversity and inclusion are key.
  • BS or BA in safety, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) status preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in manufacturing leading and improving safety performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Diplomatic, professional, and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with external regulatory agencies.
  • Proven track record in delivering and exceeding expectations.
  • Motivated leader who can inspire others, respects commitments, and obtains optimal results through respect and development.

Pay & Benefits

Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr. Target short‑term incentive: 15% of base. Average benefits spend: $23,000 per employee.
