Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Field Operations Manager is responsible for executing and improving ARA’s field marketing, prospecting, surveys, and merchandising initiatives. This may include training a team of field reps, evaluating and analyzing their performance, and planning and managing logistics.
- Well informed on all vendor contracts and Planograms.
- Coach, train and mentor Territory Development Managers (TDMs) on prospecting potential members and bringing them on board as members; train TDMs on all vendor contracts, and conduct surveys in a proper and timely manner.
- Create routes and schedules so that all existing members are approached on a quarterly basis by TDMs, and prospect for new members.
- Monitor and track routes to optimize TDM output and record time and mileage accurately.
- Ensure TDMs visit stores to conduct compliance surveys; capture all data systematically.
- Verify all surveys for site assessment, cold vault equipment placement and in-store opportunities.
- Analyze survey data for data mining, comparing results with vendor complaints and compliance.
- Ensure all survey results are captured and cleaned for the finance manager to compare with vendor analysis.
- Prepare training modules for new and existing TDMs.
- Access and evaluate team and individual performance.
- Ensure that onboarding for all new members (both in ARA & PBA) is completed in a timely manner.
Skills and Abilities
- 3–5 years of convenience retail operations management experience required.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Experience managing a large group of white‑collar labor force.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, demanding atmosphere.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Experience evaluating and training team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Analytical, goal‑oriented work style.
