We need a nurse that has experience with Hospital Post Anesthesia Recovery including General, Regional and Conscious Sedation recovery for all age ranges and patient types.

Work 3 twelve hour shifts a week PLUS cover call in our current call rotation. This includes 2-3 weeknight call shifts in a four week schedule AND every 4th weekend (Rotates monthly Days/Nights for 12 Hr shifts and must be in the unit within 30- mins when called). Must have

Certifications:

ACLS / PALS / CPR Experience in the Following

Skills:

• Drains:
Cranial /Spinal/ Hemovacs/ Chest Tubes
• Airway Management including OAW, NAW, OETT and extubation
• Ventilators, Trach and OETT Care
• Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Malignant Hyperthermia
• Knowledge of Post Op Pain, Nausea and B/P medications
• Knowledge and understanding of medications used during general anesthesia.
• Initiation and maintenance of drips (Heparin, Sedation and Pressers)
• Fundal Massages, Post-Partum Hemorrhage Management, and knowledge of common OB complications & management.
• Bladder Irrigation Maintenance
• Vascular:
Post op Carotid Care including neuro assessments, Sheath removal and site monitoring, A-lines (Maintenance & Removal). Below is a list of our common surgical procedures:

General Colostomies, Appendectomies, Cholecystectomies, Ex Laps, Whipples, etc. Urology Proctectomy, TURPS, ESWL, Cysto, Nephrectomy, Cystectomies, etc. Plastics Breast Re educations / Implants, Abdominal Plasty, Etc.
