American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 12-hour day shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

• Acute Care Med/Surg unit with 44 beds and 40 staffed
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6, for both days and nights
• CNA support available at approximately 1:8-1:10, including use as sitters
• Shifts run 12 hours, 6:45a-7:15p
• Every other weekend required, holidays as needed
• Floating required to all acute care units, cardiac unit, or EC for acute care patient holds
• Telemetry patients present but monitored on a different unit
• Uses MEDITECH EMR, experience preferred but not required

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications, both must be AHA-issued
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required

• General orientation is 1 week and includes EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
• Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility based on the address listed on their driver's license
• Not eligible for placement if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
