American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring GA or compact licensure and prior Med/Surg experience.

• Inpatient Surgical (Med/Surg) unit in a 483-bed acute care hospital
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with charge nurse support on all units
• CNA support typically at 1:8-1:10, with occasional 1:1 pulling or sitter duties
• Uses MEDITECH EMR
• 12-hour day shifts,
• Requires working every other weekend
• Low census on-call requirement
• Floating required to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
• Floor-specific orientation provided
• Unit has telemetry monitoring available on different units
• Equipment includes BIPAP, CPAP (at HS only), Vapotherm, and Draeger ventilators
• RT and Pharmacy available 24/7
• PICC line support available, no dedicated IV team

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• BSN not required for this position
• Must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift

• Provide direct patient care on a busy inpatient surgical unit
• Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff
• Scrub color required:
  Caribbean Blue
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
• Not eligible if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
