American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS and NIHSS certifications.

• Acute care Med/Surg unit with 44 beds and 40 staff
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6, for both day and night shifts
• CNAs assist with ratios of 1:8, generally 1:10, and may serve as sitters
• Telemetry patients present but monitored on a different unit
• Meditech EMR used, experience preferred but not required
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 to 7:15
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required to all acute care and cardio units, or EC for acute care patient holds

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required, both must be AHA
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 1 travel assignment required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility based on driver's license address

• General orientation is 1 week and includes EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation is 2 additional days
• Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue
• Candidates who have worked for this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
