Senior Account Manager

Senior Account Manager at Dobbs Equipment, LLC is seeking an experienced professional to lead sales, rental, and leasing of John Deere equipment in the assigned territory.

Summary of Primary Functions: The Senior Account Manager will develop partnerships with current and potential clients, grow market share, and achieve company targets for units, revenue, and gross profit.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Sell and promote the entire product line distributed by Dobbs Equipment.
• Grow and develop customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share.
• Prospect and cold‑call to expand the customer base and market presence.
• Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, prepare contracts, and record and close orders.
• Provide on‑site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
• Maintain a contact‑management database and call log for the designated territory.
• Manage market awareness and provide lost‑sales reports.
• Provide status reports to the sales manager on achievement of goals and objectives.
• Manage and maximize rental conversions.
• Meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit.
• Control sales‑related expenses.
• Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals.
• Provide feedback to other departments.
• Provide trade‑in information when requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or equivalent; or 3+ years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Equipment sales experience and a history of achieving sales targets.
• C&F dealership experience.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and self‑motivation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Quick learner with out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
• Extensive driving required; overnight travel required.
• Bilingual a plus.

Work Environment: The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually quiet.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
• Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision.
