Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will maintain equipment and property at the Webstaurant Store facility in Albany, GA. The role includes repairing warehouse equipment, managing preventive maintenance, operating forklifts and floor scrubbers, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment aligned with our Core Values.

• Assist in the repair of various pieces of warehouse equipment, including conveyor belts and forklifts
• Communicate with outside vendors regarding needed repairs through warranty or beyond certification level
• Ensure all equipment batteries are maintained per manufacturer recommendations
• Support maintenance projects related to operational improvements and preventive maintenance of tools and equipment
• Maintain the warehouse yard, including upkeep and disposal of pallets/skids
• Operate various equipment, including forklifts and floor scrubbers
• Report forklift issues promptly to the team lead or manager
• Maintain a clean work area, removing empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed
• Communicate regularly with management to maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain a log of repairs to track cost of operation by equipment number
• Make recommendations for repair, rebuild, and replacement of key components and equipment
• Complete assigned PMs and corrective work safely and timely
• Complete assigned work orders and enter data in CMMS
• Help train coworkers in area of expertise
• Other duties as assigned

• Work performed while standing and/or walking, up to 12 hours/day
• Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing
• Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling medium weights up to 75 lbs

• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a distribution environment; maintenance experience and forklift certification preferred
• Factory certification for equipment maintenance

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Mechanical and electrical training required
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and VFD issues
• Customer service‑oriented attitude with a desire to exceed expectations
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Ability to work with electrical conduit and pull conductors
• Knowledge of conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical components
• Lighting repair experience (120 V and 277 V)
• Ability to complete PMs and repair assets

Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, shifting temperatures and humidity, dust, fumes, gases, moderate noise, and traffic through work areas.
