Job Summary: Matlen Silver is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to support a highly visible data platform modernization initiative. This is a senior, hands‑on engineering position focused on evaluating an existing Palantir Foundry environment and rebuilding equivalent data, ontology, workflow, and application capabilities on Databricks. The ideal candidate has significant hands‑on experience building within Palantir Foundry and understands the platform deeply enough to reverse‑engineer existing implementations, including Ontology, Workshop applications, Actions, Functions, pipelines, and code repositories.
This individual must also have strong production Databricks experience and be comfortable translating existing Foundry capabilities into scalable Databricks‑based solutions using PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows, Python, and SQL. This is a client‑facing role requiring an engineer who can work directly with business and technical stakeholders, lead working sessions, explain technical trade‑offs, challenge requirements when appropriate, and remain deeply involved in hands‑on implementation.
