Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, is seeking a Senior Accountant who is a mid‑level მთ professional capable of fulfilling project accounting and financial forecasting requirements of multiple mid‑to‑large projects, including daily interface with project management, client and subcontractor personnel. This role will sit primarily in the office but may require travel to project job sites for meetings with the project teams and subcontractors.

The Senior Accountant is considered a mid‑level position within our Business Unit Accounting job family. By joining the company at this level, you have the opportunity to grow in title, compensation, and responsibility. - Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, SOV, files, and CO policies
- Conduct timely and accurate reviews of requisitions and lien waivers MSRP
- Set up and properly format project financial forecasts to meet internal team and client reporting needs
- Manage monthly project forecast meetings and maintain accurate ETCs tapp for labor and expenses
- Evaluate change management for reporting inconsistencies
- Ensure timely management of accounts receivable and payables
- Manage the project financial closeout process
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally and externally
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members
- Review and understand cost proposals
- Understand and manage various contract types and delivery methods
- Assist the Accounting Manager or Business Controller with monthly WIP process
- Stretch assignments as needed by the business such as oversee one accountant
- Act as an independent accountant during project forecast meetings to mitigate financial risk
- Supervise interns
- Support a positive-publicly inclusive work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 6‑10 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
