We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Latham, New York on a long-term contract basis. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing a steady flow of financial transactions while communicating effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations and requires strong follow-through, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities by reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy.
• Record financial transactions and maintain organized documentation to support routine accounting operations.
• Prepare and process payment batches, including check runs and ACH transactions, in accordance with established timelines.
• Post daily cash receipts and reconcile banking activity to help ensure complete and accurate financial records.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to address payment questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely updates.
• Support inventory-related recordkeeping and assist with audits or reviews to verify accuracy of reported information.
• Perform general accounting support tasks as needed to maintain efficient workflow across finance operations.
• Assist in handling high-volume invoicing while meeting deadlines and maintaining careful attention to detail.
