THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AUDITOR, Position Description Number T5147P01 and is part of the UNITED STATES PROPERTY AND FISCAL OFFICE, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Veterans Preference does not apply to professional series.

As an AUDITOR (GS-0511-11), you will serves as an agent of the United States Property and Fiscal Officer on accounting, financial, and managerial issues that require examination by a financial professional.

Performs quick response reviews, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up, and a variety of staff and systems accounting duties to analyze accounting records and to enhance the financial reports and operational data used by local management. Position is located in the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO).

Incumbent reports to the Internal Review Division Chief, but may receive guidance and directions from a higher graded IR Supervisor or IR Accountant Auditor if assigned.

EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Degree:
Accounting, auditing; or a degree including auditing courses in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. OR 2. Combination of

Education and Experience:

Combination of education and experience:
At least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
1. Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality. This can include up to 6 hours of business law; OR 2.

A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination. OR 3. Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours. You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

This position is with Army National Guard Units, Department of the Army.

The posted pay range is $77045 – $100164/yr.

This position requires a Secret security clearance.
