Pediatric Pulmonologist

Job Overview

Division of Pediatric Pulmonology, Department of Pediatrics at Albany College within the Albany Med Health System, is recruiting a Pediatric Pulmonologist. Candidates must be fellowship trained and board certified or eligible in pediatric pulmonology.

• 2 Pediatric Pulmonologists
• 2 Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners (NPs)
• Provides inpatient and outpatient consultative care
• Serves a 24-county region, including Upstate New York, Western Massachusetts, Western Vermont

The division has multidisciplinary clinics in neuromuscular, aerodigestive and a monthly BPD Clinic for NICU graduates. We also have the region’s only accredited Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center which has been recognized nationally for our quality improvement initiatives and the local chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for participation in local CFF sponsored events.

CF Center offers multidisciplinary CF care team includes:

• Pharmacists
• Dietitian
• Child-life specialist
• Mental health coordinator
• Case manager
• Respiratory therapist
• Nurse coordinator
• NPs and physicians

Supported by the Donna Crandall Foundation:

• Provides groceries at each visit
• Offers financial assistance for CF families in need

Clinical tools and facilities:

• Full Pulmonary Function Laboratory
• Office-based flexible laryngoscopy equipment
• Flexible bronchoscopy performed with anesthesia

The division works closely with other members of the Department of Pediatrics to provide specialized and collaborative care for patients in the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. We collaborate with faculty in critical care, neonatology, hospital medicine, and all other subspecialty practices. Faculty and staff also mentor medical students from the 3rd and 4th year classes at Albany Medical College, as well as advanced practice students from local college.

• Competitive base salary range for assistant professor $195,000-$206,000 with additional incentive bonus opportunity
