Neuromuscular Neurologist – Albany Medical College

Overview

The Department of Neurology at Albany Medical College is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologists to join and expand our growing Neuromuscular Division.

Albany Medical Center is the only academic medical center in northeastern New York. As a private, non‑profit organization, we provide care to more than 3 million people.

The Neurology Department offers established programs in:

• Epilepsy
• Dementia
• Movement disorders
• Neuromuscular disease
• Pediatric neurology
• Pain management
• Stroke and neurocritical care

• Provide patient care in a collaborative environment alongside general and subspecialty neurology colleagues
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows
• Perform and interpret EMG/NCS studies
• Participate in plentiful research opportunities
• Academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, based on qualifications and experience

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification in Neurology
• Completion of a certified Clinical Neurophysiology or Neuromuscular Fellowship
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State
• Strong interest in education and mentorship
• Commitment to excellent patient care

• Competitive base salary range $220,000–240,000 depending on academic rank with additional incentive bonus opportunity
