Salary Range: $19.30 To $20.36 Hourly

$2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS

A Child’s Place is seeking dedicated early childhood professionals to lead our integrated UPK and UPK-only classrooms at our downtown Albany location. Join a mission-driven team committed to supporting young learners and fostering a welcoming, inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans addressing all learning domains.
• Work collaboratively with classroom staff to promote diversity, inclusion, teamwork, and mutual respect.
• Actively engage children in conversation to support language development, early literacy, and social–emotional skills.
• Build strong, positive relationships with families as partners in each child’s learning and growth.
• Collaborate with the Albany City School District to implement curriculum aligned with NYS Learning Standards.
• Maintain MAT certification and administer medications as required.
• Conduct ongoing assessments using multiple methods to track student progress.
• Complete lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports in a timely and organized manner.
• Maintain reliable transportation and consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Follow all OCFS licensing regulations and agency policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 9 college credits in a related field with a written plan for certification considered.
• Preferred: NYS Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade
  2).
• Child Development Associate (CDA) with a plan for continued education also considered.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and child-centered instructional skills.
