Location: City of Albany
The New York State Education Department seeks an Associate in Higher Education to work in the Office of College and University Evaluation, evaluating applications and providing oversight of degree-granting institutions for regulatory compliance. The role includes assessing institutional applications, monitoring compliance with law and regulation, providing technical assistance, leading on-site reviews, and drafting policy documents. This is a permanent position located in Albany, NY with opportunities for telecommuting up to 30%.
Keyqualifications
- Master's or higher degree with four years of professional administrative or educational experience in higher education or related agency
- Two years of experience at supervisory or higher level
- Or doctorate degree substituting for one year of non-specialized experience
- Current 55b/c eligibility letter preferred for certain appointment types
- One year of permanent competitive service as Assistant in Higher Education for promotion candidates
