Inspector​/Sr. Inspector; Albany, NY

Overview

B&L has openings for an onsite Inspector or Senior Inspector for the 2025 construction season. We are seeking construction inspection staff for specific water/wastewater projects in Albany, NY.

We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management.

• Inspect and document daily construction activities;
• Prepare daily diary/inspection reports and weekly progress reports;
• Measure quantities of materials used and work performed;
• Prepare/assist in preparation of monthly payment requests;
• Review claims for extra work and change order costs;
• Assist in coordination of utilities;
• Interpret contract plans and specifications; and
• Assist in coordination between the owner, contractor(s) and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will have water/wastewater/sewer/drainage inspection experience. Basic computer skills are necessary to utilize construction software programs.

Estimated Pay Range: $37-45/hour.
