Role DescriptionThe Design Management Team is seeking to add a Market Sector Team Lead for several teams within the Design and Engineering Division, focusing on our Market Sectors:
Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil. The ideal candidate will be an employee of Arcadis with extensive consultancy experience in architectural and engineering projects, and strong team‑management practices. Candidates should expect travel related to project work up to 20%.
- Lead a team of 3–5 design managers, setting clear objectives and ensuring access to the skills, tools, and resources required to deliver innovative project outcomes. Champion professional growth and foster a collaborative culture that consistently delivers excellence.
- Establish and monitor team objectives, maintain high project quality standards, and regularly review performance. Oversee financials, scheduling, staffing plans, and client satisfaction.
- Serve as key contact for market sector opportunities, aligning client pursuits across internal and external stakeholders. Act as Pursuit Lead or contributor on proposal teams, negotiating contracts and achieving commercial objectives while capturing lessons learned.
- Act as Project Director when required, providing strategic oversight for high‑risk or high‑value projects and addressing legal, commercial, and operational risks.
- Over 15 years of experience in large‑scale architectural or engineering consultancy projects, overseeing multiple disciplines.
- Expertise in a key service line or market sector.
- Experience managing small teams (3–5 people) across geographies and time zones using technology.
- Advanced competency in business development and project planning tools, including data analysis.
- Arcadis Project Manager Certification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Management, or related field.

Salary range for this position is $113,933 – $193,686.
