• perform environmental engineering duties including designing water/wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems, onsite disposal systems, etc.
• prepare reports relating to water/wastewater and other environmental engineering systems, including recommendations for changes in design, construction or operational procedures and practices.
• prepare environmental drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and/or studies for design projects under the direction of licensed staff.
• coordinate design drawings and related specifications, construction costs estimates, etc., with the other technical disciplines.
• actively manage the schedule of assigned projects according to workload, priorities, and design schedules.
• review reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates prepared by design consultants.
• actively oversee consultant design work for assigned projects.
• develop and maintain project documentation, including records of meetings, correspondence, and progress
• review shop drawings, respond to contractor requests for information, create and/or review information bulletins, and provide similar construction administration and observation during the project’s construction.
• perform a full range of supervisory duties, including reviewing the work of subordinate staff.operational needs:
• some travel is required (approximately 20%).
• possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license issued by the nys department of motor vehicle is required or otherwise demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job.
