Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Equity Actors for Production of "Petticoats of Steel"
Location: City of Albany

About the project:

SYNOPSIS:
Petticoats of Steel is a play-within-a-play in which two female-identifying actors, Kimberly and Iris, meet in front of an audience gathered to see a play about women's suffrage. Kimberly has performed this play many times with another actor named Judy. To her surprise, Kimberly learns that Judy has called out sick and her agent has sent a younger actor named Iris to take her place.

Although Iris is new to the play, she soon brings a fresh and fiery perspective to the material. Drawn from primary sources, the scenes explore the true stories of New York women and their efforts to win voting rights for all women in the United States. The show moves chronologically from the early 1830’s through the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920.
