DescriptionDemonstrates a highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality with a strong emphasis on sales and results orientation to ensure the credit union maximizes lending and sales opportunities with members who apply for credit. Consistently demonstrates the ability to think independently, outside the box, by effectively responding to each individual member’s unique situation. Possess a thorough knowledge of the lending process from application to closing.
Demonstrates a commitment to exceptional member service and teamwork. Is fully knowledgeable of all credit union products and services and is able to confidently offer appropriate solutions to fit member need.
- Uses strong interpersonal skills and influence to consistently achieve sales goals, overcoming objections with persuasion and determination, confidently presenting solutions that fit members’ needs.
- Maximizes opportunities to sell credit union products and services to benefit the member and enhance the depth of member relationships.
- Prioritizes work to achieve funding of goals in a fast‑paced environment, meeting goals and deadlines while maintaining above‑average closing ratios.
- Shows an unsurpassed commitment to exceptional member service, ensuring a great experience with each encounter and following up to exceed expectations.
- Explains recommendations, products and services clearly in ways members can easily understand, demonstrating patience, respect and professionalism.
- Actively seeks qualified opportunities to increase loan volume and residual product penetration; supports member education events and seminars.
- Provides timely and accurate information, responding to decisions for internal and external members and efficiently performing transactions.
- Builds rapport with team members and credit union staff, sharing expertise and fostering cooperation for team success.
- Actively participates in and completes all required loan and sales training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two years consumer lending experience preferred; one year of experience in a sales environment.
- Must have or gain thorough knowledge of the credit union’s lending policies, products, services, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent sales, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Fluent in MS Excel and Word.
- Become fully familiar with and clearly communicate underwriting philosophies, lending decisions, approval stipulations, loan products, services, credit bureau reports and scores, credit histories, federal regulations, GAP, Credit Life and Disability insurance, loan and deposit rates, lending policies, procedures, and automated underwriting processes.
Mon – Fri 8:00 am – 5:00 pm or 9:00 am – 6:00 pm;
Sat 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (typically on a once‑a‑month rotation per Loan Expert).
Fully On‑Site.
Salary DescriptionRate of pay – $18.83 per hour plus department monthly incentive program.
