Location: City of Albany
The Medicaid Redesign Analyst 2 leads the State Supplemental Programs and Cash Reporting Unit within the NY Department of Health's Office of Health Insurance Programs. The role directs analytical and reporting activities for Medicaid forecasting, Global Cap reporting, and expenditure reconciliation, while supervising assigned staff and collaborating with program and fiscal partners to produce accurate fiscal information.
Key qualifications:- Seven years of experience in public health insurance program administration involving program development, policy implementation, or health care delivery/reimbursement
- Experience with Medicaid forecasting, budget analysis, financial reporting, and reconciliation
- Leadership and supervisory skills with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in financial, statistical, and database analysis including advanced Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of New York State Medicaid policy, financing, and rate-setting operations
- Ability to organize competing priorities and communicate complex financial information clearly
