The Senior Budgeting Analyst manages financial operations for the NY State Police Division, overseeing Federal grant awards, expenditure monitoring, accounts receivable, travel and fuel card programs, and budget preparation. Reporting to the Associate Chief Budgeting Analyst, the role ensures compliance with Federal guidelines and State Finance Law while supporting agency financial management and fiscal reporting requirements.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree OR one year permanent service in SG-14+ position with Finance, Purchasing, or Accounting responsibilities
- Associate's degree and two years' experience in related field OR two years' post-secondary education and two years' related experience
- Experience with Federal grant management and compliance
- Proficiency with spreadsheet tracking and financial reporting
- Knowledge of budget preparation and State Finance Law
