Location: City of Albany
The Office of Mental Health seeks a Senior Health Care Fiscal Analyst in its State Operations Finance Group to track receivables, prepare revenue reports, reconcile accounts receivable, and support billing and reimbursement operations. Based in Albany, the role reports to an Associate Health Care Fiscal Analyst and involves collaboration with OMH facilities on healthcare billing and payment systems. This is a permanent, full-time position under the NY HELPS non-competitive hiring program.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, business administration, economics, finance, healthcare administration, hospital administration, or public administration; or bachelor's degree in any field
- One year of professional experience in fiscal and cost operations analysis and billing systems (for Trainee 2 level)
- Two years of professional experience in fiscal and cost operations analysis and billing systems (for Journey Level)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience conducting financial reconciliations (preferred)
