Position: Speech Pathologist I - (F/T, Days)
Location: City of Albany

Department/Unit: Communication Disorders

Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Salary Range: $60,367.47 - $90,551.20

The Communication Disorders Center is expanding. We are seeking a new full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist desiring diverse clinical opportunities in a fast‑paced hospital setting. The caseload is primarily focused on the inpatient adult rehabilitation unit (but may include acute care and/or outpatient coverage). Primary job duties include diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech‑language, voice, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

The Speech‑Language Pathologist provides evaluation, treatment, and support for individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders, aimed at the amelioration of difficulties stemming from such disorders. New York State Professional Licensing Standards and Practice Guidelines of the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association guide the practice of the Speech‑Language Pathologist.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
  • NYS licensure in Speech Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • ASHA membership must be maintained annually
  • AHA Heartsaver CPR (or higher level) required; may be obtained post‑hire
