Overview

Job Summary

In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values;
The Perinatal Childbirth Educator/Lamaze Coach will provide virtual, online or classroom instruction for people of childbearing ages and their support persons in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The Perinatal Childbirth Educator/Lamaze Coach, functions in the spirit of teamwork with other divisional staff members, to coordinate the perinatal education curriculum and instruct those classes/tours.

Perinatal Childbirth Educator/Lamaze Coach assist parents in the process of making the transition from the role of expectant parents to the role of parents capable of caring for themselves and their newborns.

  • Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.
  • Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
  • Relationship-based Care:
    Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience er’s Heath Partners following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.
  • Ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and always exhibits professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate from a school of nursing or degree/certification in a health care related field.
  • Licesure/Certification:
    Current RN Licensure required or Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator Certification (LCCE).
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in perinatal nursing or childbirth education.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.

Salary and Benefits

Pay range: $35.80 - $53.70. Pay is based on education and experience.
