Bassett Medical Center is a regional trauma center located in Cooperstown, New York. It is an 180‑bed, acute care inpatient teaching hospital that also offers 24‑hour emergency and trauma care, critical care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties.

Join an established group of 2 Surgeons and 1 Advanced Practice Clinician.

• Responsibilities include clinic where you will see new and established patients, post‑op visits, telemedicine, floor management of post‑op patients, and first assisting in the OR.
• No Neurosurgery call – General Surgical call is optional
• The Neurosurgery team– Bassett Medical Center has a strong relationship with the University of Rochester Medical Center and Columbia University for teaching, education, and resident involvement.
• Previous surgical experience preferred but not essential
• Salary Range: $136,000-$186,000
  . This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, starting with competitive base pay which includes recognition for your experience, education, training and licensure. On‑call is not a requirement, however if you decide to opt‑in, there is potential for additional compensation.
• Sign‑on Bonus up to $50,000
• Hours include, but not limited to:
  Clinic hours typically run from 8:00-4:30, and OR days are variable with two‑to‑three occurrences per week.

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• NYS Licensure
• BLS Certification Required
• DEA Required
