Patient Access Coordinator

The Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact, providing professional and friendly greeting to patients, ensuring a positive experience. They are responsible for accurately collecting and entering registration information, preparing appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and managing patient records in the EMR system.

• Prepare and verify appointment data, ensuring completeness and accuracy of forms, insurance eligibility, and patient status.
• Greet patients promptly and answer incoming calls professionally.
• Review and update patient information, collect copayments, and reconcile daily payments.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient throughput and processing.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and tests as needed, and distribute necessary handouts.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, organize workspace, and restock supplies.
• Travel to other office locations as required to provide coverage.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma required; higher education preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurances is a plus.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with EMR and practice management systems.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.
