Key Responsibilities
• Perform accurate and timely follow up of claims for assigned specialty.
• Interpret insurance carrier policies and payer specific requirements.
• Identify, communicate, and help resolve coding trends or issues with the Manager and Operations staff.
• Complete a variety of coding and billing functions for multiple specialty locations.
• Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry standards, and share new knowledge with the team.
• Work independently while maintaining strong organizational and investigational skills.
• Exercise sound decision making in complex coding scenarios.
Qualifications
• Specialty coding experience preferred.
• Current coding credentials preferred but not required (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS P, etc.).
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD 10, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology.
• Highly motivated, detail oriented, organized and able to work independently.
• Strong analytical, investigational, and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Annual salary range: $22.40 - $33.60

Job Requirements AR Specialist - Successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate follow up of claims. Candidate must be able to communicate trends and coding issues to Manager and Operations staff. AR Specialist must be willing to perform various coding/billing functions for multiple sites. AR Specialist must continually educate themselves on new coding changes and share knowledge with the team.
Specialty coding experience is preferred. Coding credentials preferred but not required. Must have knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology. Must have excellent investigation and decision making skills and be highly motivated, organized and able to work independently. This position is M-F, 40 hours a week and requires the candidate to present to the office one full day a week.
