Location: City of Albany
The Strategic Advisor for the Center of Excellence will support the implementation and growth of the New York State Office of Cannabis Management's Center of Excellence for Cannabis Care and Health Equity. The role involves managing complex initiatives spanning clinical and public health education, research, health systems, and regulatory analysis while translating emerging evidence into policy and practice. The position will evaluate policy issues, develop recommendations for leadership, manage staff, and coordinate work across internal and external partners.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience (or equivalent substitutions)
- Exceptional critical thinking, judgment, research, and writing skills
- Experience in public policy, public health, law, regulatory affairs, healthcare, or related field
- Experience implementing, developing, or managing complex programs or initiatives
- Experience translating scientific evidence and regulations into actionable policy recommendations
- Valid NYS Driver's License or demonstrated capacity to meet transportation needs
