Database Architect​/Data Modeler; Erwin​/SQL

Trigyn’s direct government client has an immediate need for Database Architect / Data Modeler in Albany, NY.

Supporting the development and maintenance of business solutions on SQL Server and Oracle platforms using advanced database development techniques, designing complex relational database systems, developing PL/SQL objects, and creating ETL processes using shell scripting and SQL. The role follows agency software lifecycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs coding, debugging, testing, and development.

• Implement Integrated Justice Portal standards related to database development.
• Utilize use cases, business requirements documents, and flow diagrams to design complex relational databases.
• Follow all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – analysis, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Follow and contribute to agency standards and utilize industry best practices.
• Develop queries and stored procedures for data extraction, using SQL and one or more relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server; write complex efficient SQL.
• Perform ongoing support for production applications, including system monitoring, processing, user support, and performance tuning.
• Create, maintain, and deploy batch processes to support portfolio business processes.
• Research emerging technologies to improve current processes.

• Experience in the field of Information Technology, with a focus on development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms – beyond that of a programmer.
• Ability to provide guidance to large teams and/or extensive industry experience, considered at the top of the field.
• 84 months experience creating Views, Triggers, stored procedures, functions, and writing SQL in Oracle (12c or higher) and SQL Server (2014 or higher).
• 84 months of experience using data modeling tools such as ERWIN to create physical and logical data models, reverse engineer existing databases, and compare existing databases in SQL Server (2014 or higher) and Oracle (12c or higher).
• 84 months of experience developing complex ETL processes using shell scripts (Korn, Bash, and Power Shell), SQL scripts, PL/SQL, and T-SQL objects.
• 84 months of experience performing data analysis and creating reports for customers.
• 84 months of experience optimizing SQL queries and debugging PL/SQL packages, functions, and procedures.
• 60 months of experience developing Korn shell and bash shell scripts in a Linux environment.
