Job Overview

Tech Valley Talent (TVT) is hiring a Microsoft Software Architect (Job
-07-14536) for a 30‑month term. This hybrid role is based in Albany, NY and involves overseeing and administering the Windows Server environment, Active Directory and all Group Policies. The candidate will work as part of a team to provide cross‑training and operational continuity.

• Microsoft Server Administration, Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, Distributed File System (DFS) and Intune administration.
• Assist with the implementation of OAG's transition to Microsoft Entra.
• Maintain and manage 200+ Windows Servers and perform ongoing OS upgrades.
• Provide cross‑training for team members to support this position.

• Systems Architect – Defines the architecture of a computerized system to fulfill requirements. Includes component breakdown, interactions, interfaces, and technology/resource usage.
• Expert – 84+ months of experience, capable of guiding large teams and recognized as top in the field.
• 84 months of administration and management experience with Windows Server infrastructure (Windows 2016 or higher).
• 60 months of AD design and administration experience beyond user creation/management.
• 36 months of Group Policy design, implementation and maintenance experience.
• 36 months of Windows Server vulnerability management, patch management, security hardening and compliance experience.
• 36 months of Power Shell scripting experience managing server and AD objects and attributes.
• 36 months experience with LDAP schema customizations, LDAP tools and ADSI.
• 24 months of experience working with the Public Sector on Windows Server and AD administration.
• 36 months of Certificate Management or Certificate Authority experience.
• 36 months of experience with Varonis or other file system auditing software.
