Selected candidates are expected to work in Albany office 5 days per week
Day-to-day tasks:- Creation of project management standards and project repository for BOE, including the CAPAS FIDAS and VEDA Projects.
- Guide the BOE CAPAS FIDAS and VEDA projects with a hybrid Agile/waterfall methodology, across multiple work streams and modules.
- Plan and facilitate required Agile meetings including Release Planning, Sprint Planning, User Story, and application demonstrations/presentations.
- Guide team SCRUM meetings
- Development and maintenance of the project schedule
- Maintenance of the project budget
- Scope Management
- Change Management
- Project Reporting including tracking project metrics and executive summary reports
- Business Analysis
- Liaison with various stakeholders
- Participate in strategic planning sessions with BOE executive and customer staff
Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.

Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 Months Experience managing complex, multi-year IT projects with multiple work streams or verticals and internal and external stakeholders expectations on a diverse project team.
84 Months Experience communicating project status to IT leadership and briefing the Project Steering Committee and Agency Executive Staff as required.
84 Months Experience using project management tools such as MS-Project for business analysis/requirements gathering, process improvement, creating/maintaining schedules, and Work Breakdown Structure.
72 Months Experience as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
24 Months Experience in managing web application build projects which:
1) Meet accessibility laws and regulations and
2) Are responsive: able to be viewed on multiple different platforms and screen sizes (Desktop computer, tablet phone etc.) using the same code base.
24 Months Experience with implementing the phases of the NYS Project Management Guidebook or similar comprehensive methodology encompassing the Project Management Lifecycle and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standards.
36 Months Experience implementing the Agile/SCRUM methodology/framework.
36 Months Experience with projects based on Microsoft (.Net MS/SQL) and/or Oracle (PL/SQL) application development environments.
Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution
