Location: City of Albany
The Data Analyst 1 supports the Office of Health Insurance Programs' Division of Data Services and Analytics by developing analytical models, performing data extraction and quality checks, and creating reports and visualizations using the Medicaid Data Warehouse. The role involves SQL review, predictive modeling, Tableau visualizations, and collaboration with business units and stakeholders to inform policy and budget decisions.
Key qualifications:- Four years of experience in data visualization, statistical models, and data mining tools; or six years of experience in these areas
- Experience with SQL and Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data warehouses and reporting environments
- Experience with Medicaid or New York Medicaid preferred
- Associate's degree may substitute for two years of general experience; bachelor's degree may substitute for four years
