Location: City of Albany
The Information Technology Specialist 4 works in the New York State Comptroller's Office performing cybersecurity activities to protect state assets and systems. The role involves leading security initiatives for NYSLRS systems, supervising IT security staff, and collaborating with state and federal entities to identify and respond to threats. This is a full-time position based in Albany requiring expertise in information security frameworks, vulnerability management, and supervisory experience.
Keyqualifications:
- Six (6) years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience
- One (1) year of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Information Security frameworks (NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Controls)
- Vulnerability Management experience
- Proficient in MS Excel and SQL Developer
- Experience with Oracle People Soft Systems as administrator, security administrator, or developer
