Are you a seasoned Construction Litigation Associate with a passion for legal complexities in the construction industry? We are looking for an associate to join our dynamic team to handle challenging cases, including construction defect, commercial construction disputes, and property damage.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in construction defect, commercial construction disputes, and property damage cases.
- Conduct thorough investigations to gather all relevant facts and evidence.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and options.
- Present cases in court, articulate arguments, and engage in cross‑examinations.
- Keep abreast of changes in construction laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop effective strategies for each case.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction litigation, specifically dealing with construction defect, commercial construction disputes, and property damage.
- Proven track record of successfully representing clients in construction‑related cases.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes amicably.
- High level of professionalism and strong commitment to client service.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software.
