The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and manage our specialized UTI Clinic. This role offers a focused opportunity to provide expert care for patients with urinary tract infections while also supporting the broader urology practice.

• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
• Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Dedicated UTI Clinic within a busy academic urology practice
• Average of 1,700 UTI diagnoses managed annually
• Opportunity to combine scheduled visits with participation in the rotation for same-day urgent add‑ons

• Manage diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract infections for new and established patients
• Review and interpret urine cultures to guide treatment decisions
• Conduct virtual visits to review test results, discuss treatment options and provide patient education
• Order and interpret additional diagnostic testing when indicated
• Support preoperative evaluations by reviewing and managing pre‑surgical urine cultures
• Collaborate closely with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support staff to ensure high‑quality patient care
• Participate in the rotation for urgent urology add‑on visits, which may include cases such as hematuria, elevated PSA, kidney stones, or acute infections
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record

• License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner or physician assistant in New York State
• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Familiarity working in electronic medical records. Epic experience a plus.
• Collaborate effectively across various departments to ensure cohesive, patient‑centered care and a positive work environment.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
